Hollywood Hideaway | Landscape Design Showreel
POL designer, Justin Sun, designed this beautiful space for one of our clients in the Hollywood Hills. This yard featured an outdoor kitchen, fireplace, seating area, and artificial turf. Additionally, the original space included an antique water feature from the 1920's which we relocated to the opposite side of the yard.

You are measuring incorrectly. It is the rise over the run. The run would be the level distance between the two points not the slant distance
so is the slope 6% or 6.54% since it's at 17 inches?

i love how this is a video about measuring slopes yet he measures the wrong line at 3:40 making the wrong calculation XD XD XD If you measure a slope you measure the horizontal line and the vertical line.
Just use metric measure.

Why is this important in gardening and landscaping?
You need to make sure water always drains away from the foundation of buildings and is accessible. For ADA, wheelchairs can't go up past without assistance or a motor about 8.33% or stop coming down and water also needs to flow so 5% is ideal for ada ramps, 2% max for water on sidewalks, etc.... just think water flows and can a wheelchair so someone with a walking aide get through?
Drainage, Plants need water too but the water also needs somewhere to go.
